Spoon Doll Project
Wesley's class is studying Pilgrims and why people come to America...as their project they are given a spoon and are to dress it like one of their ancestors...Wesley decided to focus her project on Erik since he is "her Pilgrim"...She dressed the spoon in a Norwegian bunad (it is one skinny spoon so this was not an easy project!) and she named the spoon doll, Kjersti, after her cousin. We took Norwegian artwork and money and a Norwegian flag to school and Wesley presented her project before the class. Mimmi and I were lucky enough to attend...it was AWESOME!
Gingerbread House Decorating
Duchesne Alumnae have an annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party...it is the MOST fun! Wesley always goes all out and Finn decorates fast then eats the candy!
Neon Party!
Neon Parties are all the rage these days...so Wesley went full scale NEON!!! We used neon duct tape to decorate her clothing and neon hair dye with neon hair bows!! It was a sight to see!!
